Chris is a German-American DoP based in Berlin.

He studied cinematography at the world-renowned Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg (Ludwigsburg) and since graduating in 2016, his work has gained recognition internationally with nominations and wins at commercial and narrative film festivals such as the Max Ophüls Preis, First Steps Award, Spotlight Festival, and Prague International Film Festival.

He works on both narrative fiction for TV as well as commercials, shooting for clients such as Mercedes, Audi, Volkswagen, Migros, Commerzbank, Jules Mumm, Lidl, Becks, Deutsche Bahn, Flixtrain, and Tencent.

His passion for his work & craft has never stopped growing over the last 2 decades ever since he PA’d his first short film in LA. 

This is reflected in his unshakable work ethic, attention to detail, as well as his acute understanding of the constantly rising & changing demands of today’s production landscape. 

Visual storytelling is at the center of his passion for cinematography. Using just the right lighting and movement of camera to support the story. Be it narrative or commercial.

Owning and operating his own Steadicam since 2007 has been invaluable to countless productions over the years.
